Letter from the Rector: THE SEASON FOR REGATHERING

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Dear siblings in Christ,

The past year has been the longest decade of our lives. Since the beginning of the pandemic, I have been encouraging staff and lay leaders to remain physically distant from campus and one another as much as possible in order to minimize the potential for transmission of COVID-19 and to do our part in ending the pandemic.

To be clear; we are still in a pandemic. We must continue to wear our masks, wash our hands, and follow safety protocols of all kinds that have been put in place to keep those most vulnerable safe.

That being said, times are changing in the pandemic. Church of Our Saviour is not fully open, but we are moving in that direction. From Sunday, May 9th, through Sunday July 25th, our Sunday schedule will be as follows:

8am Holy Eucharist Rite I Historic Sanctuary In Person and Streaming

or email info@cosepiscopal.org to reserve seat)

9:30am Holy Eucharist Rite II Telleen Courtyard In person and Streaming

(no need to reserve space)

11:00am Holy Eucharist in Mandarin Historic Sanctuary In Person and Streaming

or email info@cosepiscopal.org to reserve seat)

4:00pm Evening Prayer Telleen Courtyard In person only

As Church of Our Saviour continues its process of regathering in person, I ask that we give space for one another to be in whatever spiritual or physical place we find ourselves. We should take great care to give one another grace and care as we strive together to discover the church God is calling us to be.

Faithfully,

Jeff+
