CHINESE VISION

OUR VISION   我们的愿景

The vision of Chinese ministry of COS is to become more able to reach out to the surrounding Chinese community, to spread God’s love and Good News to Chinese immigrants, and to help our diocese and the Episcopal Church to further develop a Chinese ministry. With the rapid growth of the ministry, we now have 24 ongoing programs, from children’s ministry to senior fellowship, from Sunday worship service to community service, from Christian formation to helping people in need, and from local leadership training to providing the Episcopal Church with the courses of theological training for candidates for the Holy Order. As a newly established ministry with the majority of members new immigrants, we need more helping hands, particularly in children’s ministry, English conversation classes, forums on parenting and American culture for new immigrants, church music, video editing, and more.

UPCOMING EVENTS

LI TIM OI CENER

LI TIM-OI CENTER 李添嫒中心

The Li Tim-Oi Center has been making Chinese immigrants friends of Jesus by connecting people to needed social services, providing sacramental and pastoral care, supporting evangelism and seeker discovery, and the like. The Center has established a vital Chinese congregation, offered twelve lay leadership training courses certified by the Bloy House, an Episcopal theological school in Los Angeles, and built up connections with the Chinese community. It takes one woman to change the thinking of the Church, but it takes generations of her followers to realize the change. Today we are following the footsteps of Rev. Dr. Li Tim-Oi to make people friends of Jesus.
