Summer Choir Returns to COS

All are invited to sing with the Church of Our Saviour Summer Choir from Sunday, June 7 through Sunday, August 30. Singers of all ages and experience levels are warmly welcome—no long-term commitment required.

Join us any summer Sunday at 9:00 am in Atwill (the children’s church and choir room across from the church) to rehearse and sing for the 10:00 am service. Summer Choir offers a relaxed and joyful opportunity to experience beautifully crafted music in a variety of styles, help lead congregational singing, and share in meaningful worship through music.

Dress casually and sit with friends or family from the Gospel to the Peace.

Summer Choir FAQ

Can children and youth participate in Summer Choir?

Yes! The music selected is designed to appeal to both children and adults, and our music director has many years of experience working with young singers.

Do I need to be able to read music?

No. While music reading is not required, you may find yourself picking up some fundamentals along the way.

I’m an experienced choir singer. Will I be bored?

Not at all. The music has been carefully chosen to be engaging, meaningful, and accessible for a drop-in summer ensemble while still musically satisfying.

What does a typical Sunday look like?

Rehearsal begins at 9:00 am in Atwill. Arrive a few minutes early to pick up music and settle in. The choir prepares offertory and communion music, rehearses hymns and service music, and helps lead congregational singing throughout worship.

Choir members process together during the opening hymn, though singers are also welcome to meet the group in the choir pew if preferred. During the Gospel procession and sermon, singers sit with family or friends in the congregation before returning to the choir pews at the Peace. Summer Choir does not wear robes.
