Street Symphony's "Messiah Project" to Livestream from COS Historic Sanctuary

Dear COS family,

It's a delight to invite you to tune in to the livestream of Street Symphony's 6th annual Messiah Project, a celebration of music and community featuring excerpts of Handel's Messiah, which will be livestreamed from the Historic Sanctuary at Church of Our Savior.

The livestream event will take place on Friday, December 10 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm, and you can register here.

The Messiah Project is the culminating year-end event of Street Symphony, bringing together musicians across Street Symphony's roster of world-class professional artists from ensembles such as the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Master Chorale, while featuring the voices of artists from the Skid Row community.

You can read about The Messiah Project in The New Yorker in this piece by Alex Ross.

Throughout the COVID pandemic, Street Symphony has gone deeper: deeper with relationships with partner organizations, such as Downtown Women's Center and The Midnight Mission; deeper with community members and artists; and we have answered the deeper call to stand in the gap of all that is broken in our world. We have answered the deeper call—that offering music is an act of love, and that everyone is worthy of love.

Thank you for your continued support and warm hospitality. I hope you'll tune in and join us on Friday, December 10!

Warmly,

Dustin Seo

COS Staff Cellist & Street Symphony Associate Artistic Director
