OUR SAVIOUR CENTER SPOTLIGHT: Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive This Saturday, May 10, to Benefit OSC’s Food Pantry

At Easter this year, Our Saviour Center was able to give out Easter hams to 485 families, thanks to the kindness of our donors and supporters. The hams were distributed in addition to our 700 weekly regular meals going to food pantry clients. And the good news continues: since March of this year, OSC has also been providing food pantry visitors with fresh produce every week, a result of our collaboration with Seeds of Hope and Food Forward.

We would like to once again acknowledge everyone who has supported OSC’s food pantry through donations, volunteering, or spreading the word. Events such as our Easter meal distribution leave a profound impact on each individual but could not be accomplished without support from our community.

This Saturday, May 10th, Our Saviour Center will be working with U.S. Postal Service for the annual Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. To participate from your home, please leave a can or box of nonperishable food in a bag by your mailbox, and mail carriers will collect them on Saturday. You may have received a brown paper bag from the postal service for the food drive.

For the past four years, the Rosemead and San Gabriel Post Offices have donated the food collected by their carriers to OSC. We are grateful to be a beneficiary of their hard work and welcome a fifth year of collaboration with both Post Offices. We look forward to what this year’s food drive will bring!
