Our Saviour Center’s Food Pantry has recently received some generous food donations from the nationwide "Stamp Out Hunger" campaign. Many of you may be familiar with this food drive, from the notices and brown grocery bags your postal carrier leaves by your mailbox every year. This, the largest single-day food drive in the U.S., is conducted by the U.S. Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers. Our Saviour Center was the beneficiary of food collected at the San Gabriel and Rosemead Post Offices. Many thanks to the residents in both cities who contributed to the cause by donating food items.

Usually during this time of the year, the Food Pantry sees a decline in donations, Thanks to the postal carriers who collected — and carried —15,893 pounds of food from their routes, OSC’s Food Pantry is now fully stocked! Not only has this food drive helped us restock; it has provided us with a wide variety of foods that we don't usually distribute. This will be a special treat for our clients over the next few weeks.

The Food Pantry is immensely grateful for the community's support in this event, which will continue to help us serve those in need.
