OUR SAVIOUR CENTER SPOTLIGHT: OSC Celebrates 40 Years of Love, Hope, and Service

On Saturday, October 4th, Our Saviour Center celebrated its 40th anniversary at Church of Our Saviour in San Gabriel. We were honored to see so many of Our Saviour Center’s supporters gathered in one room to celebrate 40 years of sharing love, hope, and resources with our neighbors in need. We thank our keynote speakers, Rev. Jeff Thornberg, Betty Duker, Michael Flood, and Kimberly Aguilar, who took the time to speak at our dinner on Saturday. Additionally, we were joined by California state senator Susan E. Rubio as well as a representative from the Office of Assemblymember Mike Fong. Together, they spoke kindly of our mission and presented Our Saviour Center with a Resolution, accepted by our Director of Operations, Jose Vega.

Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without the kind support of so many individuals over these past 40 years. Our ability to serve the people of El Monte is a collective effort that started in 1985, and after Saturday we have been further enlivened by everyone’s love and support to carry on our mission for more years to come. From our Food Pantry to our Emergency Shelter, Dorris Dann Kids Campus to Soccer for Success, we look forward to continuing our service to El Monte.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for an evening of reminiscing and commemorating 40 years of service. We are gladdened to be able to fulfill a mission so close to people’s hearts and thank you deeply for your continued support.
