Dear siblings in Christ,
It is with a deeply heavy heart that I convey the news that the Rev. Nancy Shier, long-time beloved parishioner and priest, died on Monday afternoon. Nancy’s passing was sudden and quite unexpected. I join you in the shock and grief at this time. There will be a celebration of Nancy’s life at 1pm this coming Sunday (2/28) outside on the patio of Church of Our Saviour that will also be streamed digitally online.
Reid Allen, long-time parishioner of Church of Our Saviour also died last week. I join you in the many stories of Reid across campus through the years as we celebrate his life and memory. As soon as COS has more information about Reid’s burial office, we will share it broadly.
Church of Our Saviour is a community that comes together to support one another, even and especially when we are in deep grief. I ask your prayers for Nancy and for the entire Shier family, as well as for Reid, Kathy and for the entire Allen family at this time.
