Your stewardship committee and I are pleased to announce the official relaunch of the planned giving program at Church of Our Saviour. You may have recently received the "Leave a Lasting Legacy" brochure in your mailbox: the large, colorful trifold marks the exciting new beginning of sharing ways everyone can ensure the future of COS while leaving a lasting legacy of their very own.
The late, great Ben Harrington began our planned giving program in the early 2000s. His incredible work included assisting the Diocese with the creation of a series of informative planned giving brochures, simultaneously laying the foundation for all other parishes throughout the county to start their own planned giving programs. Planned gifts, such as bequests or estate gifts, are very important to churches like COS. They ensure the resources needed for a future of continued mission and ministry for years to come.
The program’s relaunch will include electronic access to the new brochure, a two-part estate planning toolkit, and a new page on our website at COSEpiscopal.org/LegacyGiving (still under construction). A very special Legacy Circle summer event is being planned for those who notify us that they have included Church of Our Saviour in their estate plans. Stay tuned… there is much more to come!
If you have decided to include Church of Our Saviour in your estate plans, please let us know so that we have the opportunity to properly thank you and welcome you into the Legacy Circle. If you have questions about how to make a gift that is meaningful to you without using your current income, please email RoseG@COSEpiscopal.org or call 626-282-5147, extension 118.
