On Sunday, November 21 at 9:00 am, the COS Forum will offer a double opportunity to show your gratitude for the blessings in your life. The forum will feature "Count Your Blessings," a special video starring YOU—the COS congregation. To participate in the video, take a moment to consider the people, places, and events that you are grateful for this holiday season. Then, send your reminiscences, photos, and videos to Ed Andersen at hetchflier@gmail.com. Submissions for the video must be received by Thursday, November 18th.
That’s only part of the fun we’re going to have. We’ll engage in a good old-fashioned turkey stuffing, but it’s probably not what you might think. Instead of the traditional dressing, we will stuff the “turkey” with donations to be used to purchase Thanksgiving turkeys for families at Our Saviour Center. Please bring your tax-deductible cash contribution or personal check made out to “Church of Our Saviour” to support this timely effort.
But wait, there’s more! You can also donate a turkey or ham. A few stores give away turkeys as a reward to their loyal customers. If you have an extra turkey that you can spare, please bring it to church this Sunday. The Center is also looking for ham, specifically Dubuque Canned Ham (3 lb.). These hams can be bought for about $10.00 at Vons, Albertsons, Walmart, and others. Please bring them to the forum or the coffee bar in the Telleen Courtyard at coffee hour.
