COS Family Camp Out 2024! CAMP WITH US ON AUGUST 17TH

BOOM CHICKA BOOM! The 3rd Annual COS Family Campout returns this summer on Saturday, August 17th with an overnight campout, crafts, group games, sing-a-longs, s’mores, and more!

We will pitch our tents in Peppertree Lane on our beautiful campus starting at 4 pm. Bring your tent and sleeping bag and spend the night, or just come by and join us for the crafts, food, and fun. This year, activities will include tie-dyeing shirts, raucous group games, and campfire songs and stories. And, because the next morning is Sunday, campers will enjoy breakfast before our Annual Blessing of the Backpacks during the 10 am worship service.

Everyone has the opportunity to participate their own way!

  • Not into camping? Just come for the activities and return home to the comfort of your lovely bed!

  • Your backpack days are long gone? Consider donating a backpack or school supplies for the Blessing of the Backpacks on Sunday, August 18th. We will be donating backpacks and school supplies to Our Saviour Center’s Dorris Dann Kids Campus.

  • Can you donate some time? Come help prepare breakfast for our campers on Sunday morning at 8 am!

The suggested donation for campers is $30 per family, which goes toward food and supplies. If you would like us to provide a t-shirt for tie-dyeing (cost is $6 per t-shirt), please RSVP by August 7th to Hannah Riley at (626) 282-5147 ext. 102 or email hannahr@cosepiscopal.org. Or, you can bring your own white t-shirt!!

Last year’s camp out was an incredible and memorable success, full of fellowship and laughter. We are thrilled to camp again with our COS family and welcome the new school year. For more information on this event or how to donate a backpack for the Blessing of the Backpacks, please call Hannah Riley (626) 282-5147 or email hannahr@cosepiscopal.org. I said a BOOM CHICKA BOOM!!!

Camping in August sounds like an amazing trip! Spent summer nights under the sky, surrounded by nature, has a certain magic. For those planning to go, remember to dress appropriately—an aviator jacket men can be a stylish and practical choice for those chilly evenings around the campfire. With the proper equipment, you will be able to thoroughly enjoy the experience. I am looking forward to hearing everyone's camping adventures.

All of you seem to have a very nice event happening there. Camping is a perfect opportunity to free from modern life and communicate with nature, especially if to do it in August when the climate is warm. I could be occupied around that time, anyway, as I have some work with an assignment writer in the pipeline. But if I can make it, I would be happy to be part of the camp enjoy nature with all of you!
