COS Celebrates Our Teens in Rite 13 Ceremony on May 10th

This year marks the second year that COS has celebrated our young people through the Rite 13 ceremony. We will honor six of our Youth Group participants this spring. “Rite 13” will formally observe a milestone around these young peoples’ 13th birthday, marking the transition from childhood to adulthood. We recognize the importance of helping our young people appreciate their growth and progress as they move toward adulthood.
On Sunday, May 10th, during the 10 am service we’ll rejoice in this significant time with our teens and honor the gifts of adulthood freely given by God. These gifts are part of the very essence of who we are. As we grow and mature on our journey, our skills and understanding expand, but that core of who we are — created and loved by God — remains constant.
Please keep these teens (Even, Gunnar, Henry, Jacob, Jay, and Max) in your prayers as they prepare for this life-affirming ceremony.
