Father Thomas Ni recently visited Our Saviour Center to learn about the changing needs of the Food Pantry and its clientele. We are seeking community partnerships with Asian supermarkets and local grocer distributors to help us incorporate the staples that are more commonly found in the pantries of our Vietnamese, Chinese and Korean neighbors.
While food items such as milk products, breads, and canned beans are usually available in the boxes and bags of food provided biweekly, they are frequently removed and left behind. In collaboration with Our Saviour Center staff, Fr. Thomas will assist in building bridges with neighboring retailers for donations that are well suited to meet the needs of our neighbors.
