Jubilee Homes will hold its annual Christmas Dinner after a one-year hiatus on Saturday, December 4, in Cleaver Hall. We will fill the Hall with 100 residents, alumni, and their families. Alice Rucker will lead us in Christmas carols, followed by a visit from Santa himself, a special craft activity for the children, and a delicious turkey and ham feast catered by our own Marcus Mendoza.
We will have gift bags for all, filled with cookies and candy to take home, special stuffed animal gifts for the about 15 children who we anticipate, and gift cards for every family. You can play an important part in making the evening very special by donating gift cards (in $20 denominations, please), cookies and candies, and stuffed animals.
We need your contributions by Sunday, November 27. Just drop them off in the Cleaver Hall kitchen anytime that weekend, or call Bill Doulos (626-616-4498) for pickup or information.
Jubilee Homes transitional housing is COS’s outreach to the recovery community in the San Gabriel Valley. Fifty adult men and women in the early stages of recovery from addiction live at one of our four homes in Pasadena or Altadena. The residents often express their deep gratitude to our church for your support and for offering then a new chance at life.
